Math is something which we cannot teach overnight. Reflecting from the activities which were introduced to us during the first two sessions made me ponder why Math was so boring when I was young? I could only remember having math in a stringent classroom where textbook need to be carried everyday and turning the pages without even understanding the underlying concept.
Stepping into The Magical World of MATH, I would encourage educators to perceive Dr Yeap's ideas of pedagogy. We should plan, coach, model, explain, and provide materials to teach Math. Nevertheless, before proceeding to teach Math in our democratic country, we should understand the Mathematical syllabus which clearly explains the whole big ideas of acquiring the necessary concepts and skills for children's everyday life.
